Arena is inaugurated with the intent to connect rural producers
With a circular structure in a multistage arena format, this new space presents technological solutions for rural producers

The Agrodigital Arena, meant to be an innovative space to assist rural producers, was inaugurated this morning, March 2, during the 21st Expodireto Cotrijal, in Não-Me-Toque. The Arena is the perfect area for technological convergence, with more than 1700m2, hosting 26 companies, which are divided into 20 booths and 6 business tables, presenting and discussing agribusiness digital technologies that have been transforming the way farmers work and seek results.

For the president of Cotrijal, Nei César Manica, it’s an innovative space that introduces the Agro 4.0 concept to farmers, helping them understand the importance of technology and promoting its use in agricultural properties. “This is a landmark, a game changer inside Expodireto”, he highlighted, while also mentioning the cultural changes that technology can provide to farmers.

Representing the federal president Jair Bolsonaro, the Minister of Citizenship, Onyx Lorenzoni commented on the two essential vectors present in the Arena, the translation of technology for the farmer and the new generation of technologies which will allow the growth of this sector.

The Minister of Agriculture, Tereza Cristina mentioned the need to democratize existing technologies, which need to reach the fields in order to effectively assist producers.

Also present in the Arena’s inauguration, State Governor, Eduardo Leite, emphasized the ways in which digital advancement can contribute in the goal to make Rio Grande do Sul a reference in agribusiness technology.

Arena – A convergence space

The goal of the Arena, according to the manager of IT, Quality and Processes of Cotrijal, Luiz Felipe Lopes, is to share, during the 70 scheduled lectures, the experiences in innovation and technology lived by the exhibitors and to introduce alternatives and solutions capable of benefiting the growing fields.

For him, the main problem with technology in rural properties is the connection and convergence between already existing services. Cotrijal, through its Arena, wants to reveal a path that producers and associates can follow. “A simple platform, where everything converges in one single place. That’s the ideal scenario”, he stated.

The Arena has a circular structure and a multistage arena format, featuring four auditoriums with 80 seats, projection screens for multimedia content and multichannel earphones, accreditation area, cafeteria and lounge. The space will be open for visitation from March 2 to 6, with events taking place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., starting again from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
