Expo’s Second Day Attracts 46,500 Visitors

Starting early in the morning, visitors learned about the latest machinery and watched demonstrations. There was constant movement between the aisles and innovative spaces like the Agrodigital Arena and in the auditoriums. There was plenty of foot traffic this Tuesday throughout the Expodireto Cotrijal park. According to organizers, 46,500 people attended the expo’s second day.

A few farmers visiting the park were worried about the dry weather, but the information provided at the 31st National Forum on Soy held during the morning by the agronomic engineer and associate director of MB Agro Alexandre Mendonça de Barros, assuaged their worries. Optimistic about the market, he hopes that China resolves the sanitary problems that the country has been facing in the past few months. The Asian country is “eagerly seeking out Brazilian grains.”

While presenting the day’s numbers, Cotrijal vice president Enio Schroeder emphasized that the farmer in their routine is investing in the expo and predicts high attendance on Friday, March 6, the closing day of the expo. He also took the opportunity to invite everyone to the official press and sponsors coffee meeting starting at 8:00 am on Wednesday, March 4th, in the Cotrijal Family House.

This Wednesday, March 4th, the spotlight will be on the 16th State Forum on Milk starting at 8:30 a.m. discussing “Innovations for Milk Production.” Starting at 1:30 p.m., the 6th Cotrijal/Bayer Rural Entrepreneurs Meeting (6º Encontro de Empresárias Rurais Cotrijal/Bayer) will take place. Later on in the central auditorium Forum on Wheat will take place starting at 3:15 pm. In the production auditorium, the debate on “Current Themes of Agrarian Rights and Agribusiness” will take place at 2:00 p.m. At 4 p.m., the lecture “Agriculture 4.0” will take place.
