The gates of the Expodireto Cotrijal will be open tomorrow, Monday, 11th, in Não-Me-Toque, to make out of the agro more business, more innovation and more technology. In five days of scheduling, 534 exhibitors, in 98 hectares, they are all ready to host more than 250,000 visitors from over 70 countries.

“Not only the numbers make Expodireto Cotrijal one of the biggest fairs of Brazilian Agribusiness, with international expressiveness. In this Historical Edition, the 20th year, we are ready to accomplish the biggest and the best fair of all times” says Nei César Mânica, the president of Cotrijal.

Overcome adversities – “All the attractions of the scheduling are kept and we greatly overcame the weather conditions which we faced right before the fair. The park is ready to receive all the visitors. It shows that working along we are stronger. This is the strength of the Brazilian agribusiness”, highlights Mânica, about the storm last Friday afternoon, March 8th.

Confirmed presence of the vice-president of Brazil- Among the confirmed authorities for the official opening – which happens at Expodireto Cotrijal Central Auditorium, on Monday 11th, at 9 a.m., and the Agribusiness Walk of Fame grand opening, there are the vice-president of Brazil, Hamilton Mourão; the Agriculture Ministry, Tereza Cristina; the governor of RS, Eduardo Leite; and representatives of the Senate; chamber of deputies; legislative assembly and financial institutions.

20 years of a Successful History

The 20th edition of the event promises to be as great as it was in 2018, when the exhibitors made R$2.2 bi in business. This year, special programming takes place in the park to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fair: The Agribusiness Walk of Fame; the 360° experience with virtual reality glasses in a retrospective of the main moments of the two decades of Expodireto; a photography exhibition of the “Timeline”, with a totem to take pictures, with instant printing, in the House of the Cotrijal Family; sunscreen distribution; and totens with cell phone chargers.

Enhanced and enlarged Park- Some improvements were done to receive the visitors and the exhibitors in Não-Me-Toque. A new land was acquired, enlarging the park, having today 98 hectares. Besides that, the Animal Production sector has now a fixed building, built next to the Production Auditorium. The Production Auditorium was refurbished to host 92 people. The other buildings of the park also had improvements, including the restrooms. In the Machine and Equipment area, the number of restrooms was doubled.

Debates for the Farmer defense- Nationally known as one of the most important stages of debate about the agribusiness, the Expodireto Cotrijal has a wide scheduling. In 2019, the National Soybean Forum (the event is one of the highlights of the fair, every year) has its 30th edition. There are also the 15th State Milk Forum, the 11th National Corn Forum, the 12th Forest Forum of RS, the 4th Soil and Water Forum, the Seed of Gold Trophy (which will pay homage to the professor and researcher Elmar Floss), the meeting of the rural businesswomen Cotrijal/Bayer, Young Cooperativist Forum, Wheat Forum, Brazil Soybean Forum and Public Audience of the Agriculture Committee of the Senate.
