In the 20th edition of Expodireto Cotrijal, the person honored with one of the most important prizes offered by the Expodireto Cotrijal is Elmar Luiz Floss, technical director of the Agronomical Sciences Institute, professor, consultant and lecturer, with an extensive list of services dedicated to the agriculture sector.

The delivery of the Gold Seed Trophy, granted by Cotrijal, City Council of Não-Me-Toque and Municipal Administration of Não-Me-Toque, occurred on this Monday afternoon, 11th – the first day of fair, in the central auditorium.

“It is very meaningful the fact of being a seed. A seed is a life form and the regional agriculture starts with a good seed. And I expect that this gold seed can still generate many diamonds in friends, in realizations, in health so that I continue working for the agribusiness for even more time”, said Elmar Floss.

Family, friends and authorities highlighted the qualities of the honored. The president of the Legislative of Não-Me-Toque, the councilman Carlos Alberto Bacher, called the attention to the researches of Elmar Floss. “His work contributed a lot for the increase of the productivity in the region. It is a reason to be proud that the City Council is the author of this project, and this year making a tribute for this important professor and researcher, in partnership with the fair”.

The mayor of Não-Me-Toque, Pedro Paulo Falcão da Rosa, said that he was proud of the choice of the City Council and of the Expodireto Cotrijal this year. “It was a fair and happy decision. Elmar Floss has a meaningful history in the sector, important for all the region”.

For the president of the Expodireto Cotrijal, Nei César Mânica, it is one more important personality of the agro eternalized in the history of the fair. “Today we already had the Hall of Fame of the Agribusiness, which eternalizes people who were and are important for the agribusiness, especially for the state and region. With this selected group are those who were already acknowledged also in the Gold Seed. Elmar Floss is a man of great importance in our sector, to whom I extend a hug of gratitude for all his work”, stated Nei Mânica.

THE AWARD – The Gold Seed Award was released in 2005, with the purpose of valuing the work of people, companies or institutions which have contributed for the success of the Expodireto Cotrijal and, consequently, of the Brazilian agribusiness.
